Sri Lanka vs India, 2nd Test, SSC, 2nd day

Kumar Sangakkara proceeded to his third double-century at the SSC

Sri Lanka's plan to bat India out of the second Test was on track with Kumar Sangakkara maintaining his aggressive approach to reach his seventh double-century and Mahela Jayawardene continuing his prolific run at the SSC. The hosts had hoped to get 250 more runs on the second day before making India bat, and the pair ensured they would score those runs in quick time.

'I can play under any captain' - Mohammad Yousuf

"If PCB invites me with respect I will definitely go and join the team"

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf is ready to come out of retirement sooner rather than later, further broadening the possibility of an appearance at some point for Pakistan in the summer.

Yousuf, who announced his sudden retirement after a win-less tour of Australia, had said recently he was targeting the tour of UAE later this year to make a return but the team's struggles in the first Test against Australia at Lord's may have prompted him to change his mind.

I am available any time for my national team," Yousuf said in Karachi. "If the team doesn't need me I stand retired. But if I'm needed, I am ready and available to serve my country.

1st ODI of Bangladesh vs Netherlands

Netherlands won by 6 wickets (with 7 balls remaining)

The Netherlands win by 6 wickets with an over and a ball to spare, and they made it look comfortable too, with Zuiderent and Barresi seeing the Dutch home. Bangladesh batting well in the first 15 overs but then crumbled to an average score which they would have still fancied to defend. They had their own fair share of chances, with some dropped catches and horrible mis-fields but credit to the Netherlands batsmen who didn't succumb to the pressure of a collapse.

This victory also qualifies the Netherlands for the ICC ODI ranking table, along with other associates Ireland and Kenya. Bangladesh will be disappointed after loosing to Ireland last week as well as they struggle to establish the gap between them and the associate nations. However, I think the victory has to go to the Netherlands, rather than Bangladesh loosing the game.
